Now that the re-facing is finished, I have started covering the blank wall with travertine tile. This is the "so far" point, still more tile to place and then grout. I will need to fabricate switchplates as our outlets are foreign to anything I have been able to find so far.
So the refacing of the cabinets is completed, and the new floor is in. Next, travertine tile will go on the wall under the microwave and more granite over the two cabinets adjacent the range. Window treatment and paint dabbling should see this project complete, uh, well maybe except appliances
De-construction is now mostly finished, and re-con is beginning. Veneers are being applied to the outside surfaces now. Next will see the new doors, mouldings, and finally the new floor.
Out impatience got the best of us and we decided we couldn't wait until next year to finish the kitchen project, (cabinet re-facing and floors). This is day one, we will try to post new pics every day as the project unfolds.
Our weather this spring has been wonderfully normal, with lots of rain and mild temperatures.Mixed with one or two very hot spells, this has made a perfect medium for our "scape"
